A warm, friendly welcome awaits you at our secluded detached family home boasting wonderful views of picturesque Wensleydale from all rooms. Our small sheep farm is tucked away on a hillside in beautiful, tranquil surroundings approximately 1 mile east of the historic market town of Leyburn, locally known as a ‘town for all seasons’ with shops, pubs, restaurants & weekly cinema. Leyburn is also the location for ‘Tennants’ Antique and Fine Arts Auction house.
Only a five to ten minute stroll away is a hidden local gem – the little-known Harmby Falls which can be quite spectacular, with a viewing bridge allowing dramatically close access.
Visitors having an interest in history will particularly enjoy Middleham, the home of Richard III and famed as a centre for race horse training and breeding, the ruins of Jervaulx Abbey and Constable Burton Hall Gardens. Bolton Castle poses majestically further up the valley, a medieval castle having wild boar, falcons & a maze.
Sunnyridge is an ideal base for touring, walking or cycling in the Yorkshire Dales, there are many lovely routes to follow through Wensleydale, Coverdale, Nidderdale & Swaledale. We are also within easy reach of market towns Masham, Richmond & Hawes and the more distant North Yorkshire Moors and York.
